Seals in Greenland
Previous Theme - Gallery - Next Theme
On the Madeleine islands (Canada), the harp seal females come and give birth
between the last days of February and mid-March. At this date, they leave their young
to mate again, then go back to Greenland. During this very short period, the young
seal will have to grow quickly, to jump in the water to explore its world and forage.
